HILL SIDE COTTAGE

A bespoke and truly individual design, nestled within the breathtaking landscape of Highland Scotland, this building stands as a harmonious blend of architecture and nature. From the outset, the client envisioned a structure that would not only complement but celebrate the surrounding environment—inviting the outdoors in and allowing the indoors to flow effortlessly outward.

To bring this vision to life, we embraced the use of traditional materials—locally sourced stone, timber, and natural finishes—that echo the textures and tones of the Highland terrain. These elements were carefully integrated with modern engineering techniques to ensure both aesthetic integrity and structural excellence.

Throughout the project, we worked in close collaboration with the client and architectural team, fostering a creative partnership that ensured every detail aligned with the original intent. Large glazed openings frame panoramic views, while subtle transitions between interior and exterior spaces create a sense of continuity and calm.

The result is a building that feels rooted in its place—timeless, respectful of its surroundings, and deeply personal to those who inhabit it. It is not just a home or a structure, but a living reflection of the landscape and the people who shaped it.
